You can ask us to delete your Business Empire account and the data linked to it at any time, free of charge. You do not need to have the App installed to do this.
How to request deletion
Send an email to support@businessempire4u.com:
- Send it from the email address you use to sign in to Business Empire, so that we can confirm the account is yours.
- Use the subject line "Delete my account".
- Say whether you are the workspace owner or a member. If you are not sure, we can check.
We will reply to confirm that we have received your request. If you did not send it from your sign-in address, we may ask you to verify your identity.
We complete deletion within 30 days of confirming your request, and email you when it is done.
What is deleted
If you are a member
- Your sign-in account (email address and passcode)
- Your profile, including your display name
- Your access to every business you were granted
- Your push notification tokens
- Any reminders you created
If you are the workspace owner
Deleting the owner account deletes the entire workspace. This cannot be undone. It includes:
- Your sign-in account and profile
- All businesses, including names and logos
- All income, expense, asset and liability entries, and their edit history
- All attached receipts, slips, invoices and files
- All reminders, categories, exchange rates and settings
- All invitations, and every member's access to the workspace. Members keep their own sign-in accounts, but they can no longer see any of your businesses.
Before you ask us to delete it, save or export any records you need, such as screenshots, or the receipts and files you attached. We cannot recover the workspace once it has been deleted.
What may be kept, and for how long
- Entries added by a member belong to the workspace owner's records. They stay in the owner's workspace after the member's account is deleted, and may still show the member's name as their author. If you are a member, you can ask the owner to remove them. You can also ask us in your deletion email to replace your name on those entries with "Former member".
- Crash reports are anonymous technical logs. Firebase Crashlytics deletes them automatically after up to 90 days.
- We may keep limited information where the law requires it, for example to meet a legal obligation, resolve a dispute or prevent fraud. We keep only what is needed, and only for as long as it is needed.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You can remove individual data at any time without deleting your account:
- Entries, attachments and reminders that you added can be deleted in the App.
- Workspace owners can delete businesses and remove members in the App.
- To ask us to delete other specific data, email support@businessempire4u.com and tell us what you want removed.
